Adam Blackman MD, FRCPC, D.ABSM, D.ABPN
Founder and President
Dr. Blackman graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto and subsequently completed specialty training in psychiatry and a sleep medicine fellowship. Prior to founding MedSleep he was the medical director of the Toronto Western Hospital, Sleep and Alertness Clinic. He was the Vice-President of Medical Imaging and Business Development at Medisys Health Group from 2006-2008 where he was responsible for overseeing the Ontario Medical Imaging Division and developing innovative health care partnerships. Dr. Blackman is an assistant professor of the University of Toronto and teaches both residents and sleep medicine fellows. He has also been actively involved in establishing sleep medicine standards with both the Canadian Sleep Society and the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Sabrina Ramkellawan
Director of Operations, MedSleep
Sabrina Ramkellawan is responsible for the overall management of MedSleep clinics across Canada. She started her career as a registered nurse specializing in critical care but has also worked in other areas of nursing including pediatrics, mental health and the community. Over the last 12 years Sabrina has gained industry experience in management, clinical operations and research working in various health care settings. Sabrina is currently an instructor and course developer at Michener Institute of Applied Sciences for the Clinical Research Associate post graduate program. Sabrina is also a Certified Clinical Research Professional with the Society of Clinical Research Associates.

James MacFarlane Ph.D, D.ABSM
Director of Education, MedSleep
Dr. MacFarlane is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Psychiatry, University of Toronto. He was granted his doctorate from McMaster University Medical Centre for his work in neuropharmacology and began his sleep career at the Toronto Western Hospital in 1989. He also is a Research Associate at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto and is a consultant at the Niagara Sleep and Snoring Centre. He currently serves on the Board of the Canadian Sleep Society. Dr. MacFarlane is actively involved in developing innovative sleep educational programs for sleep technologists, medical students and physicians. He also provides public lectures to enhance awareness of issues related to sleep and sleep disorders.
